New Mindful Movement & Meditation Classes!

I am very excited to announce that I am now including Mindful Movement in my class offerings! These new Mindful Movement and Meditation classes begin with a gentle Hatha Yoga flow that transitions into a guided Mindful Meditation. This movement practice has proven helpful to students who often find it difficult to meditate. • Meditation has been recognized as a useful tool for aiding in drug/alcohol rehabilitation treatment, and a nice compliment to CBT and DBT. Simple practices focussing on the breath or body lead to awareness of thoughts and emotions - without judgement. Incorporating mindful meditation into rehabilitation programs has shown to be effective in improving mental health which can lead to reducing substance abuse, and increasing the likelihood of long-term recovery.

  • Simple mindfulness practices help students increase focus, attention and classroom participation while decreasing stress, anxiety and disruptive behavior.

  • Mindful meditation helps to calm the nervous system and reduces stress and anxiety. Mindfulness also contributes to enhanced creativity and problem-solving.

  • Mindfulness coaching provides teachings and techniques custom-tailored to help overcome obstacles and step into greater contentment with work/life.
